The Necklace

A NECKLACE is a piece of jewellery worn around the neck. People wear necklaces for various reasons. They wear them as a fashion piece or as a good luck charm.

In the past (ancient times) people wore them as a symbol of social status. Currently, some people still do; the religious leaders, traditional rulers, chiefs and Obas. We see the Muslims with the prayer beads; and the Christians with rosaries or a chain with a crucifix pendant. The Chiefs and traditional rulers with their beads.

Here's a look at some necklaces from Accessories '4 'U By Diri.

Necklaces are worn to enhance our appearance and serve as a symbol of beauty and creativity.
